Terms of use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
The service
DigitalCredentials lets subscribing issuers design, issue and revoke digital certificates and badges, lets students store and share them, and lets anyone verify them.
Issuer responsibilities
- Issue credentials only to people who earned them, and keep student data accurate.
- Upload only logos, signatures and artwork you are authorised to use. Signatures must be used only with the signatory's permission.
- Comply with POPIA, and give students the issuer privacy notice.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to forge, alter or mass-enumerate credentials, overload the service or bypass security controls. We may suspend accounts that do.
Verification
A verification page confirms what the issuer recorded and whether the cryptographic signature is valid. The issuer remains responsible for the content of the credential.
Plans and payment
Prices are in South African rand and exclude VAT. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Credentials stay verifiable for 12 months after a subscription ends.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
