# DigitalCredentials – certificate design templates

Use these guides to design your certificate background in Canva, Illustrator, Affinity, Figma or PowerPoint.
Upload the background **without** the dynamic text. DigitalCredentials adds the text, QR code and signatures.

| Landscape background | A4, 3508 × 2480 px (300 dpi), PNG or JPG, RGB, at most 8 MB |
| Portrait background | A4, 2480 × 3508 px (300 dpi), PNG or JPG, RGB, at most 8 MB |
| Canva | Custom size 297 × 210 mm (landscape) or 210 × 297 mm (portrait). Import the template PNG as a locked guide layer and delete it before export |
| Safe area | Keep important art and text 3% in from every edge |
| Logos | PNG or SVG with a transparent background, at least 600 px wide |
| Signatures | PNG with a transparent background, black or dark ink, about 1200 × 400 px, cropped tightly. Up to 2 per certificate |
| QR zone | Keep it plain and light, at least 2.5 × 2.5 cm when printed. Never place it on busy artwork |
| Colours | Set any hex code in the designer. Brand defaults: #5A2D5E Royal Plum, #D9B3D8 Orchid Bloom, #0F4D5A Abyss Green |
| Dynamic fields | Student name, certificate title, for what/course, description, issuer, issue date, expiry (optional), credential ID, verification URL, QR, signature 1 and 2 with name and role, logo 1 and 2 |

Files: `*_landscape_A4_3508x2480.(svg|png|pdf)` and `*_portrait_A4_2480x3508.(svg|png|pdf)`. Coloured dashed boxes show the default field zones. You can move every zone in the designer.
